Alpha Chi Omega is very dedicated to their philanthropic activities. Nationally, we support victims of domestic violence through the Alpha Chi Omega Foundation, which also offers scholarships to its members. Locally, the Upsilon Chapter works with the Dove, Inc. Shelter in Decatur, Illinois. In past years, we've raised several thousand dollars to benefit the residents and staff of the shelter through participation in our annual Dove Walk. We also enjoy interaction with the residents through "Dove Days" when members of our chapter go to the shelter to have themed parties with the children- play games, color, and have fun. Recently, we began having special days for the mothers, too- relaxing spa-like activities to just help them get away from stressful times, children, and just give them a special treat.
